My Op-Ed Piece Addressing Anderson Cooper, Geraldo, Garofalo & Others

Needless to say certain elements of the media have been reckless and shameless in their coverage of the Tea Parties. Today I address them in the following article:

Exclusive: Emerging Split In Obama Admin. Over Missile Defense

Yesterday I caught up with National Security Correspondent Bill Gertz of The Washington Times on an important split brewing within the administration.

Administration officials CHOSE not to use the latest and most sophisticated radar detecting equipment to monitor North Korea’s recent missile launch, despite requests by Air Force generals.

The split can tell us a lot about how Obama plans on handling international threats and issues with unfriendly states.

Gertz broke the story in a Washington Times exclusive.

My Response To CNN and Others, Today On KUSI TV

I was invited to give my post-Tea Party observations on ‘Good Morning San Diego’ and had this to say:

Arlen Spector: First Casualty of Tea Party Movement?

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Spector has the look of a politician who may become the first casualty of the Tea Party movement.

Today I caught up with a confident Pat Toomey, the conservative candidate challenging Spector in the PA ‘10 race. The interview was heard on Washington Times radio.

No Response Yet From County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price

SD County Board supervisor Pam Slater-Price has not yet responded to our two invitation requests to appear as a guest on The Rick Amato Show.

Supervisors Cox and Horn have responded, essentially saying ‘no comment at this time’.

All three supervisors have endorsed Bill Gore for Sheriff in the 2010 election according to Bill Gore’s campaign website.

With current Sheriff Bill Kolendar announcement of his early retirement effective July 2, the board must appoint an interim Sheriff.

We are calling on the Supervisors to do the right thing and select someone who is NOT A CANDIDATE in the ‘10 race.

Our concern is not with Bill Gore. Selecting a candidate- one who they have already endorsed no less- would have an influence on the election and give the appearance of ’selection by gov’t committee’ and not by a vote of the people’, as it should be.

You can contact each supervisor to voice your opinion at:

Bill Horn 619-531-5555,
Pam Slater-Price 619-531-5533
Greg Cox 619-531-5511.

Media Bias and the Tea Party Movement

CNN, the self-proclaimed most trusted name in news?

Despite the monumental grass roots movement across America, If one were to do a google search of the words ‘CNN, Tea Party’ …or…’MSNBC Tea Party’…it would return only TWO results.

It will be fascinating to see what sort of coverage the anti-Tea Party groups receive on April 11 and 15 by MSLSD and CNN.

What many in the lamestream media and on the left fail to understand is that the Tea Party phenomenon is not an anti-Obama movement, as they believe.

Instead, It is citizen activism by everyday, play-by-the rules people who have nowhere else to turn since republican politicians have failed and abandoned them…and democratic leaders (with the growing exception of moderates) are in lock step with the higher tax and bigger government philosophy.

This is not unlike the Minuteman movement of 2 1/2 years. Citizens feeling failed by the gov’t on border issue took matters into their own hands. They were demonized called lunatics, rednecks and extremists (led by the howls of President Bush). Today the US- MX border ranks 3rd on the list of national security threats only behind Af-Pak and ahead of Iraq.

Is it any wonder the republican party lacks a leader? It’s my hope that the republican party is not just listening, but more critically, learning.

I look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday.

Get Ready For Some Anti-Tea Party Sabotage and Smear

Left wing wacko’s through a group called ‘A New Way Forward’ are planning to be ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’ or, ‘Tea Blenders’, at upcoming Tea Party Events.

Essentially their plan calls for sending people with racists signs and fringe “end of the world” messages and blend in to the crowd to appear to be part of the fiscally conservative Tea Party movement.

Their playbook also calls for them to position themselves in front of the media to create a false perception of the movement thru TV and newspaper/website images. The Huffington Post is a key player in publicizing the tactic.

Michelle Malkin and others write about it here:

Congrats to Audrey Hudson and The Washington Times!

Congrats are in order for The Washington Times and their fine reporter Audrey Hudson for winning the prestigious ‘Public Service Award’. The PSA is second only to the Pulitzer in prestige.

The award resulted from Audrey’s, and others, work on exposing missteps at the VA involving drug prescriptions given to returning War on Terror vets with dreadful side effects, as well as other issues in a series called ‘Disposable Hero’s’.

The revelations led to investigative hearings on Capitol Hill led by House VA Chrmn Congressman Bob Filner of San Diego:
